In a recent post through GTA Forums, Tez has shared his idea regarding some hidden content that seems to be already in Red Dead Online, even if it’s not sure if they are part of the drip-feed deriving from the new Bounty Hunter Role Expansion Update, or if they are simply existing cut contents of which we will never see the actual arrival in the game.
I been hearing tell about you. Lot of folks say you know how to get things done. Well, I’m a man who knows which things need doing, and where to get paid for doing them. What do you say we put two and two together and make five?
Fair warning, I ain’t one to sit on my hands. The moment I hear of an opportunity, I’ll send you a telegram. You get the job done, you get yourself a nice little payday, no questions asked. If there’s anything needs to change hands, my brother Josiah will take care of it. Figure it’s best you and I don’t go around chewing the dog in person. Not that I don’t trust you. I just don’t want to have to.
I’ll be in touch.
We’re talking of Telegrams, a sort of Missions Invites which appear to be present and which we may see them working in the future of Red Dead Online. Just like Missions Invites in GTA Online available from your phone, Telegrams in Red Dead Online could work in the same way, but they should be only available from your Camp Lockbox or the Post Office. They could be offering some solo work or inviting you to take part in various jobs. After receiving and collecting the telegram, you can choose whether to start immediately or look at the details.
These are some sentences that have been found and leaked by Tez, showing various types of messages notification that we could receive:
You have collected a telegram with missions. View the telegram in your Satchel.
You have a new Telegram. Collect it from the Camp Lockbox or the Post Office.
You have received a telegram offering some solo work. Start now or look at the details.
A batch of telegrams inviting you to take part in various jobs.
Telegrams would also refer to something bigger that could come in the future of Red Dead Online, since it seems that Telegrams are sent by a specific character called “J“, of which we don’t know any details so far, but it could very well be a new main character introduced in the game world and in the storyline of online missions. Maybe a new Lester? A new prominent character could indicate missions of greater importance such as Heists.
We’ll see what the future of Red Dead Online will bring to us. However, we are aware that some players in the community had already hypothesized a messaging system similar to Telegrams, and it seems that it will become reality.
